Vernon L. Rich 44 Hardinville died Saturday December 2, 2000 at his residence from cancer. He was born in Gary, Indiana on January 25, 1956. He was the son of Thomas & Laura Rose (Bond) Rich. On December 1, 1979 he married Catherine “Cathy” Teal. He worked in the oilfields and at present was a grinder at Fair Rite in Flat Rock, IL.He was affiliated with Eureka E.U.M. Church rural Oblong. Vernon loved to fish.

Vernon is survived by his wife Catherine “Cathy”; father Thomas Rich; 1 brother & sister-in-law Ricky & Regina Rich; 5 sisters & brothers-in-laws Molly & Dan Shipman, Kay & Jerry Sharrett, Linda & Steve Stewart, Sandy & Richard Williamson and Patricia & Pat King; Grandfather Oscar Hensley; several nieces, nephews and great nieces. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Joanna Teal; and father-in-law Bruce Teal. He is preceded in death by his mother.

Burial in Shire Cemetery rural Oblong.
